“Turbobo has been a blessing in our 5th grade classroom! ALL of our students have benefited in more ways than one from Turbobo! When a student has had a meltdown, they turn to Turbobo in our Cozy Corner to calm down. We also noticed that it helps our students focus during instruction. Turbobo’s weight and therapeutic features support my students in calming them down and getting back on track. WE LOVE TURBOBO!!” 🙂
“During a class mini lesson in my kindergarten class, the student was always crawling around the classroom or touching something or someone. As soon as he was given Turbobo, he was seated and listened attentively to the lesson. He uses Turbobo every time he comes to the front. Turbobo has worked very well for my student’s behavior issues. Absolute game changer!”
“My 4th grade students are usually very well behaved, but I noticed Turbobo was a great tool for calming down my students during transition periods and especially after returning from recess when they have a little too much energy. Apart from designated SEL instruction time, my students also enjoy taking turns with Turbobo as they work on their math and reading comprehension skills. I noticed a significant improvement in some of my students’ math test scores as a result!”
“One of my students was feeling sad for a reason he was unable to verbalize. I could see it on his face. At that point Turbobo was new, and I thought it was a good opportunity to try giving Turbobo to him. When I asked if he wanted to hug Turbobo, he said yes. When I placed him on the student’s lap, his face immediately turned into a bright smile, like his usual self. It was a big indication to me that Turbobo can be very effective in helping a student feel more at peace.”
“Now that we have Turbobo SEL in all of our classrooms and support offices, my students will often bring Turbobo over to other students in the class who are getting upset or frustrated. I think this is especially wonderful because they are noticing when their friend needs Turbobo and providing each other with this support.”
“I had a situation where two of my students wanted to use Turbobo to help them focus. I told them that one student could have it first and the other could have it next and set a timer. After the timer rang, I looked over and the two students were sitting next to each other, one petting Turbobo’s head and the other using his weighted tail. Both students were fully engaged in their work while sharing Turbobo and they told me that they were happy to share with one another rather than having their individual time with Turbobo because he was helping them both focus. Amazing!”
“One of my Pre-K students was crying because she did not want her mom to leave during morning drop off. When I suggested to go give Turbobo a hug, she went right to him and started to pet and hug him. She was then able to wave goodbye to mom while sitting on the carpet with Turbobo.”
